Message from our President:
What are Good Samaritans of Garland’s core beliefs? We believe in our mission, preventing homelessness and hunger amongst the working poor of Garland and the GISD. We believe that there is no more important thing in life than assisting others. We believe that anyone who comes to us for assistance deserves to be treated with caring and respect.
To live those beliefs we have programs that ensure families have food, shelter and electricity. Our programs help those on a fixed income have a place to live, to have electricity and to have food to eat. Our programs help those who have made poor choices in their life to learn how to make better choices. Our programs help those who have few financial resources to learn how to better use those resources.
Our dedicated staff and volunteers, board members and advisors and our clients make this a place where people grow and change, lives are changed and those who need assistance find it. Our desire is that there be no hunger or homelessness, but until that occurs, Good Samaritans is there to provide the caring help that people need.
Sincerely,
Jim Aswegan
